Tridentata Arts joined Jack, Geri and Joe Taylor at their amazing biennial Pit-fire Event, Walker Lake!
We worked together with so many funtastic potters! Salt, copper carb, iron oxide, seaweed, wire, banana peels and much more.
Dip, sprinkle and wrap.
The very large pit is loaded, paper and wood is added. Everyone pitched in. Kiln gods, goddesses and guardians are added to ensure a good firing.
The metal covering is carefully placed over the wood. We then ceremoniously surround the pit and give thanks. The fire is lit!
And voila!!! A successful pit fire! And so much fun! Thank you Jack, Geri and Joe Taylor!!!
