Bird Installation

We wanted to do a piece that addressed the impact of plastic on our planet and the albatross became our icon!

After studying the effects that plastic refuse have on sea fauna, we decided that the plight of the albatross spoke very dramatically and would make an intriguing and interesting project. We designed kinetic sculptures made of plastic with a goal of being lightweight, anatomically and proportionally correct, able to move on its own in a minimal breeze, and interesting to view.
